Finding Your Way

To Dream,
To Choose,
Goals,
The Journey, 
Sharing Experiences. 

It’s 3am and I’m staring at this picture.

Finding your way and understanding what you want in this life can be difficult. Some choose to cross the tracks and roam aimlessly in the weeds surrounding the tracks only to return to the same place to start again the next day.

Others choose just to wait for the train that may or may not come to pick them up and take them to someplace other than here where they will start the process all over again.  And they are content with that.

I believe everyone of us has a path or track to follow however it is up to us to dream where those tracks might take us.

To Choose to trust in that dream.

To set Goals on how you are going to arrive at our Dream.

Then there is the most important part. The actual Journey, and the life and encouragement of that journey is sharing experiences. That is the Recipe of Life. We sometimes find ourselves lost in the mist and fog of this world wandering, worrying, and wishing for something different, something that will make our lives have purpose.

When we have a Dream we have to decide to believe and to choose to follow it. We must make Goals for ourselves other wise we will wander from the track and lose our way. And now for the most important part, we must take time to enjoy the journey it makes up most of our lives. It’s the vehicle that takes us to our Goals. We must be prepared for what we may encounter on the journey or we will become discouraged and disappointed and decide to abandon the Journey, never reaching our Goal and enviably losing faith in our Dream.

The secret to encouragement on our journey is to look forward to the experiences that we will encounter. Take time to seek them out, to  notice them when they do show up, and here is the worth of this practice, Share them, sharing the experiences along our journeys becomes the light that warms us, encourages us, strengthens and guides us. Without someone to share your experiences with along the journey to your Goal, the work that is required to continue will become arduous and you will fail to reach your Goal- or the pleasure in reaching your Goal with not be there and you will decide that the next Goal is not worth it and now we have witnessed the death of another Dream.

Today you may find yourself looking down the same set of tracks that lead to an entirely different Dream and the only thing that really matters is are you going to Choose to follow your Dream. Remember the plan and the light that will carry you there. Ephesians 2:10
